Kokoretsi
The ‘kokoretsi’ is a tasty mezes which Greek have a custom to eat during Easter. You will be able though to find this dish in grill shops in which the main menu is meat on the spit. For the Greeks the meat on the spit has a long tradition and in such shops you can taste unique delicacies. The ‘kokoretsi’ is made principally from lamb intestines and livers. It is a delicacy that requires a lot of preparation and cooking time and due to this it is not an ordinary Greek household menu but is very adorable. If you find yourself in a grill house that offers ‘kokoretsi’ and you like meat try adding some fresh lemon erected on it. The taste will impress you. Accompanied with a beer is certainly something to remember for a lifetime.
