Sardines | Sardeles

The sardines (sardeles in the greek language) are an excellent source of high quality protein because they offer valuable fatty acids omega-3 and an abundance of vitamins and minerals. Moreover, they reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases and blood pressure. The World of Health Organization recommends weekly consumption of fatty fish at least twice a week.

Of course sardines are very popular cause they are also very tasty. The restaurants will usually include in their menus grilled sardines with a garnish sauce of olive oil and fresh lemon juice and a small quantity of chopped parsley.
